The Yellow Postbox of Happiness (Shiawase no Kiiroi Post)

Standing in front of the entrance to Yayoi Bridge, which leads you to Aoshima Island, this “yellow postbox of happiness” is said to bring good fortune. It was installed in homage to an ancient legend in which the gods of Japanese mythology exchanged the oldest love letters in Japan.
With its vivid color set against a backdrop of blue sea and sky, it makes for a perfect photo opportunity—and you can even drop a real letter inside! Make a special memory by sending a postcard as a memento of your journey.
