Ebino Plateau

A plateau with beautiful ponds and plateau plants

This is a plateau at an altitude of 1,200 meters in Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park - the first to be designated a national park in Japan. You will find volcanoes of various sizes here. These include Karakunidake and Koshikidake that are also highly popular as trekking spots. In addition, the park is also dotted with beautiful cobalt blue crater lakes. You can see unusual plateau plants from spring to early summer and brilliant colored leaves in the fall. You can enjoy experiences of nature with hot springs, a camping village and an ice skating rink only available in the winter.
