Introducing passes that allow you to take advantage of Miyazaki Kotsu's route buses

Traveling by bus is a convenient option for exploring Miyazaki Prefecture. Special passes that offer great value when using Miyazaki Kotsu (Miyako Bus) routes can help you make the most of your journey. This article introduces two bus passes: the "VISIT MIYAZAKI BUS PASS" and the "Holiday Pass." These passes make sightseeing easy and affordable, allowing you to explore all of Miyazaki's wonderful attractions!

VISIT MIYAZAKI BUS PASS

This special ticket, available exclusively for foreign tourists, offers unlimited bus rides for one day to eight key sightseeing areas around Miyazaki City. It includes a dedicated brochure in four languages: English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

Foreign tourists visiting Japan + international students (e.
※ A passport and a return flight ticket (or an equivalent itinerary) are required for submission.
※ For international students, a "Residence Card" issued by the immigration office must be presented (the student must reside in Miyazaki and hold a "Student" visa to be eligible).

Price of passes:
1 pass: 2,000 yen
※ The pass can only be used on the date written on the ticket. 
※ The ticket is valid for up to one month from the date of issuance.
 

Available routes:
All general route buses operated by Miyazaki Kotsu can be used.
※ Excludes highway buses and express buses that cross prefectural borders, the Miyazaki–Takachiho line, regular sightseeing buses, and community buses.

How to use the pass:
● Please write your name on the pass when purchasing.
● When using, please write the date of use on the pass and present it to the bus driver when you disembark.
● If the date of use is left blank or up until the day before the date of use, refunds are possible as long as the pass is within the validity period.
● Refunds are accepted at Miyazaki City Tourist Information Center (inside Miyazaki Station), Miyazaki Station Bus Center, or Miyazaki Airport Bus Information Center. (A refund fee of 110 yen will be charged.)
● If lost, the pass cannot be reissued.

Holiday Pass

A ticket that allows unlimited rides for one day in the suburban areas of Miyazaki City, available exclusively on weekends and public holidays. 
There are three types of passes available, each corresponding to a different area of Miyazaki City: Miyazaki, Nobeoka, and Miyakonojo. Within the selected area, you can ride the bus as many times as you like for 700 yen (adult pass). 
Additionally, these passes can be purchased not only at sales locations within Miyazaki Prefecture but also nationwide at convenience stores (Seven-Eleven, Lawson, FamilyMart) through their ticketing terminals.

Price
700 yen for adults, and 350 yen for children.

Available routes:
The passes can be used in the three areas designated by Miyazaki Kotsu: Miyazaki, Miyakonojo, and Nobeoka.

How to use your pass:
The pass is designed for you to circle the specific year, month, and day you wish to use it.
When disembarking from the bus, please present the pass along with your boarding ticket to the bus crew.
