overview
Aoshima Five Senses Premium Experience
Step into the extraordinary world of Aoshima at night, a place usually closed to visitors.
Aoshima is a small island designated as a National Special Natural Monument, known as the northernmost habitat of subtropical plants in Japan. The entire island is considered the sacred grounds of Aoshima Shrine.
Shaped over millions of years, Aoshima was formed by the accumulation of seashell fragments and sediments, influenced by two ocean currents: the warm Kuroshio Current flowing northeast and the coastal current flowing southward. Once regarded as a sacred site forbidden to the public, the island only became accessible to visitors from the Meiji period onward.
Blending the mystique of ancient mythology with the tropical beauty of the blue sea and lush subtropical vegetation, Aoshima offers a space where history, culture, and nature converge. During this premium event, you can experience Aoshima with all five senses through its nature, history, traditions, and local cuisine.
